Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Data Analyst Intern to support manufacturing reporting, data analysis, and operational visibility initiatives across production environments. The ideal candidate will assist with building reports and dashboards, maintaining clean and accurate manufacturing data, and supporting Manufacturing Execution System (MES) workflows and continuous improvement efforts. This role will serve as a supporting member of the Manufacturing Execution Systems team, working closely with production, quality, engineering, and operations personnel. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, an interest in manufacturing systems and operations, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support manufacturing reporting and KPI tracking activities  
  • Assist with SQL queries, data extraction, and data validation efforts  
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and recurring operational reports  
  • Support MES-related data workflows and manufacturing system activities  
  • Help maintain data accuracy, structure, and data hygiene standards  
  • Analyze production and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities  
  • Assist with documenting reporting workflows and data processes  
  • Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and operations teams to support data-driven decision making  
  • Support ad hoc analysis and operational improvement initiatives as needed  
  • Work onsite with manufacturing teams and systems in a production environment  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or related field  
  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases  
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis concepts  
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization/reporting tools  
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills  
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment  
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking mindset  
  • Self-starter with willingness to learn manufacturing systems and workflows  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • U.S. Citizenship  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Exposure to manufacturing, production, or industrial environments  
  • Familiarity with MES, ERP, or QMS systems  
  • Experience creating dashboards or visual reports  
  • Exposure to PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database platforms  
  • Basic scripting or automation experience (Python or similar)
