Job description

What you'll do at Jamf:

The Business Continuity Manager leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of Jamf's business continuity management program to ensure operational resilience. Reporting to the Director of Business Continuity, the Manager plays a critical role in preparing for and protecting Jamf from potential disruptions, ensuring business operations can continue during and after a crisis. Responsibilities involve a strategic blend of risk assessment, contingency planning, and stakeholder communication to maintain operational resilience. Also works with cost center departments to perform business impact analyses (BIAs) and risk assessments; assists in business continuity plan (BCP) development and maintenance; conducts and evaluates BCP exercises; promotes program initiatives through training and awareness; and maintains emergency preparedness activities.

What you can expect to do in this role:

  • Drive adoption and execution of Jamf's business continuity program by facilitating business impact analysis and risk assessments, assisting with business continuity and IT disaster recovery plan development and maintenance, and designing, organizing, and facilitating tabletop exercises to validate continuity and resilience plans and strengthen organizational resilience.
  • Ensure continuity plans align with enterprise crisis management processes, corporate IT-DR capabilities, cyber incident response, and incident management processes.
  • Lead the effort with IT to ensure appropriate DR planning is in place to support critical business functions and company data in the event of a disaster.
  • Validate that external SaaS vendors meet DR resilience expectations for corporate IT applications and systems.
  • Embed regulatory and compliance controls by maintaining audit-ready evidence and traceability aligned with SOX, GDPR, DORA, NIST (e.g., 800-53), and ISO 27001/27000 requirements.
  • Plan, design, coordinate, lead, and execute comprehensive BCP testing, including tabletop exercises, to validate continuity and resilience plans and meet regulatory test frequency requirements. Ensure outcomes are documented, gaps are identified and communicated to impacted teams, and corrective actions are implemented. Oversee the integration of lessons learned into updated plans.
  • Provide functional leadership and guidance to cost center leaders across Jamf to foster a culture of preparedness and operational excellence.
  • Maintain accurate, current information on the internal business continuity website and shared drives; draft and distribute timely correspondence to BC stakeholders and cost center leaders regarding program updates, training, and regulatory changes.
  • Foster strong working relationships with cost center leaders and cross-functional teams to align continuity and resilience strategies with organizational objectives and manage plan activation and coordination during incidents.
  • Lead the preparation of periodic reports for Business Continuity Management leadership to communicate program status, gaps, risks, metrics, and improvement opportunities, enabling strategic decisions and planning.
  • Support business continuity training for critical roles and stakeholders.
  • Support business interruption event monitoring and reporting.
  • Monitor real-time threats, risks, and events around the world, alerting the Director of Business Continuity, CISO, and appropriate stakeholders of risks.
  • Serve as on-call and provide 24/7 escalation and support for global incidents or crises impacting the company.
  • Manage the global emergency notification system to ensure reliable crisis alerts and compliance with annual testing requirements.

What we are looking for:

Required

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience managing and driving enterprise business continuity, business resilience, crisis management, emergency management, and incident management programs and initiatives.
  • Understanding of security & infrastructure standards and regulations.
  • Track record of implementing and managing BCPs, BIAs, and other continuity deliverables to measurably improve the continuity stance of an organization.

Preferred

  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance (e.g., DORA, NIST, ISO 27701/27000, ISO 22301, SOX; FedRAMP a plus).
  • Experience with BC/DR planning software and notification systems.
  • Experience in emergency management, incident management, and reporting.
  • Experience interfacing and communicating with executives on crisis and continuity responsibilities.

Core Competencies

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functional teams without direct authority and to translate business continuity risks and strategies clearly to senior business leaders.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and work autonomously.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with strong problem-solving skills and a practical mindset that balances compliance and business needs.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • 4 year / bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, related field or Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
