Job Summary:
Florence Healthcare is dedicated to advancing cures by providing innovative software solutions for clinical research sites. The AI Product Manager will define product strategies and lead cross-functional teams to develop AI-powered features that enhance clinical research processes.
Responsibilities:
• Define and own the product roadmap for AI-powered features, balancing near-term delivery with long-term strategic bets
• Partner with ML/AI engineers to scope model-driven features, set measurable success criteria, and guide iterative development
• Work with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure AI capabilities meet healthcare data standards (HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, etc.)
• Stay current on AI/ML trends in health tech and bring forward-thinking perspectives to the team
• Own the vision, long-term strategy, and P&L for a strategic product line or portfolio of products
• Drive cross-product/platform alignment to ensure a cohesive customer and business experience
• Lead customer discovery, market research, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities
• Define and execute strategies that deliver adoption, revenue, retention, and market expansion
• Partner with executives, Finance, and Product Marketing on pricing, packaging, and positioning
• Evangelize the product vision and strategy to executives, customers, and external partners
• Anticipate and manage cross-functional dependencies across multiple teams and initiatives
• Act as a thought leader in platform innovation and influence company-level strategy
• Mentor and develop PMs, raising product leadership standards across the org
• Represent the voice of the product externally and internally, shaping both customer experience and business outcomes
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor or Arts or Science degree (Business, Computer Science, or related technical field) or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS product management or comparable role in eClinical, Digital Health or other Decentralized Trial (DCT) (eConsent, RBM, eTMF, EDC, etc.) enabling technologies
• Experience with LLM-based product development (prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, evaluation frameworks)
• Background in clinical research, life sciences, or health IT
• Familiarity with FDA software guidance for AI/ML-based software as a medical device (SaMD)
• Experience working in an early-to-growth stage startup environment
• Experience in high visibility roles managing a product portfolio, and bringing new platforms and products to market
• Detailed working knowledge of Product management frameworks in an Agile/Scrum Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) environment
• Experience with go-to-market strategy planning and execution.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and to identify, assess, and solve problems quickly
• Proven experience interacting with customers, Engineering, Product Owners, and Customer Experience teams
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, communicating with customers, key stakeholders and C-Suite Executives
Preferred:
• Knowledge of pricing strategies for technology products, a plus
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, clinical research and/or building regulated 21 CFR Part 11 compliant clinical technologies, a plus
