Overview

BrightSpring is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst Associate to support our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform and help ensure the quality and performance of our vendor-supported software. In this role, you'll leverage your problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot system issues, perform quality assurance testing, and collaborate with clinical, administrative, and vendor teams to deliver effective solutions. As a key liaison between end users and software vendors, you'll help resolve technical challenges while supporting the continuous improvement of our EMR systems.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the systems and processes assigned.
  • Oversee the daily help queue by tracking, prioritizing, and resolving support requests.
  • Create test plans, test scripts and acceptance criteria for software applications, defects or enhancements.
  • Perform quality assurance application testing that includes regression testing.
  • System administration to include configuring, implementing, monitoring, and testing of all related applications.
  • Application support including troubleshooting issues and clearly reporting them to technical staff and/or vendor(s) as necessary.
  • Create, organize, and update documentation for software applications, as necessary.
  • Attain and maintain knowledge about department practices, procedures, workflows, including providing focused support on applications where appropriate to enhance end user abilities and capabilities with the system.
  • Works as liaison to Infrastructure team for issues related to connectivity and performance.
  • Schedule, plan and lead requirement gathering and review meetings with the business. Communicate key decisions and action items.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education, Experience and Certification

  • Associate of Art/Associate of Science in Computer Science or related field with one to two years of progressive experience in an enterprise healthcare setting
  • Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis
  • Previous experience in an enterprise healthcare setting is strongly preferred
  • Experience in workflow design/redesign, healthcare information systems, and/or systems analysis and design experience strongly desired

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience working an IT Help Desk with basic knowledge in hardware, networking and security
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings preferred
  • Initiative, self-starter, problem identification, resolution and analytical skills are essential
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Strong critical thinking and the ability to apply knowledge within a complex environment is essential
  • Scheduling flexibility is required to accommodate changing business needs
  • Some travel may be required
