As a People Business Associate, you will be the heartbeat of the employee journey, owning the local execution of HR programs and creating an inclusive environment where everyone can perform at their best and reach their full potential. You will be the primary people associate for employees and managers at Topeka, KS Hills Pet Nutrition Plant. Here you will drive talent acquisition, capability building, and provide frontline employee engagement and relations support. Responsibilities
  • Drive capability-building initiatives by partnering with leadership to implement training plans that close technical skill gaps and prepare our workforce for the future;
  • Deliver best-in-class employee engagement and onboarding programs that align new hires with Colgate’s culture and foster long-term commitment and wellness;
  • Provide frontline employee relations (ER) support, offering guidance on HR policies and performance management to ensure a fair, inclusive, and compliant work environment;
  • Manage the recruitment lifecycle for frontline roles, internships, and apprentice programs by utilizing the applicant tracking system (ATS) to to review resumes, screen talent, and facilitate the interview process;
  • Execute data-driven HR operations by maintaining integrity within Employee Central (HRIS) and leveraging analytics to identify talent trends and opportunities;
  • Lead internal communication programs that support site-wide strategic goals and strengthen the partnership between management and employees.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of human resources or talent acquisition experience.
  • Technical proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors) and data analytics tools
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating presentations and communicating effectively across diverse stakeholder groups
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree or professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment or supporting a global corporate function.
  • CPG or FMCG industry experience.
  • Proven ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with a proactive growth mindset and strong collaboration skills.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $76,800.00 - $107,500.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
