4 days a week in office - Montreal Office

Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP is currently seeking a Legal Assistant to work in our vibrant Business Group in our Montreal office. This position will appeal to candidates who enjoy a challenging position in a professional office with a great culture.

You will be focusing on:

  • Update and revise a variety of lengthy documents;

  • Edit, format, print and revise letters, memos, reports, forms, labels and other printed material;

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, answer client calls and general inquiries;

  • Maintain an efficient file management and bring forward system;

  • Responsible for the billing support for a group of lawyers including generating bills on a monthly basis and understanding and adapting to specific client requirements;

  • Open and close client/matter files;

  • Perform administrative and related duties as assigned and assist others in the department as required;


What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Legal Assistant role, preferably in Business Law, Securities or M&A ;

  • Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or relevant experience;

  • Advanced PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.);

  • Experience with SEDAR/SEDI filings;

  • Able to work with minimal direction or instructions;

  • Able to manage, organize and prioritize work independently;

  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills
