We are looking for a new Business Development Manger in our East Region (must be located in New York, Philidelphia, Boston, or NJ area)

The Business Development Manager (BDM) - Referral Sources is responsible for driving growth by building, strengthening, and sustaining relationships with referral sources including physicians, physical therapists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals. This role requires a balance of strategic account development, consultative education, and disciplined execution to expand market share and support superior patient outcomes.ย 

Duties & Responsibilities

Referral Source Engagement: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with physicians, physical therapists, and other referral sources to drive awareness, education, and adoption of our solutions.ย 

Market Development: Identify and qualify new referral opportunities, building pipelines of business that lead to increased patient access and sales growth.ย 

Clinical Education & Support: Partner with clinical teams to deliver in-service trainings, patient case support, and outcome-based education to referral networks.ย 

Territory & Account Planning: Create structured call plans, monitor performance against targets, and adjust strategies to maximize coverage and effectiveness.ย 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, clinical, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives and support customer needs.ย 

Data-Driven Activity: Track referral patterns, analyze account performance, and report progress using CRM tools to guide territory strategy and share best practices.ย 

Customer Experience: Serve as a trusted consultant, providing resources, support, and solutions that enhance the referral source's ability to deliver excellent patient care.ย 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field preferred; clinical background a plus.ย 
  • 3-5+ years of business development, physician liaison, or healthcare sales experience.ย 
  • Strong understanding of referral dynamics in healthcare (physician practices, physical therapy networks, rehabilitation centers).ย 
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence decision makers, and manage long-term professional relationships.ย 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.ย 
  • Results-driven, highly organized, and comfortable managing a territory independently.ย 
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of various referral sources (strong plus)
