Job description

WHOOP is an advanced health and fitness wearable, on a mission to unlock human performance and healthspan. WHOOP empowers its members to improve their health and perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives.
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to partner closely with the Platform Engineering team to drive data-driven decisions around infrastructure, identity, authentication, and security. This role focuses on quantifying the business impact of platform changes, helping the team navigate the tradeoff between security and member experience. By identifying actionable insights and defining clear measurement frameworks, you'll play a vital role in ensuring WHOOP's platform investments drive both growth and trust.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Business Impact Analysis: Measure how platform and security changes - such as authentication flows, account policies, and infrastructure decisions - affect key business metrics including conversion, engagement, and retention.
  • Testing & Experimentation: Design and analyze experiments to quantify the tradeoffs between security controls and member friction, informing product roadmap decisions.
  • Conversion & Funnel Analytics: Analyze member sign-in and purchase funnels across mediums and authentication methods, identifying drop-off points and recommending optimizations.
  • Cost & Infrastructure Analytics: Partner with Finance on Gross Margin, COGS, and cloud hosting cost analysis, helping the team understand unit economics and availability tradeoffs.
  • Reporting & Visibility: Build dashboards and reports to provide ongoing visibility into the account, password, and security landscape - tracking progress toward team goals.
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as the analytical thought partner to the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5-7 years of experience in a deeply analytical role, preferably within a product, platform, growth, or engineering-focused environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Math, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong track record delivering value in an analytics organization - preferably in a direct-to-consumer or technology environment.
  • Have a creative approach to problem-solving - demonstrated ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights and effectively communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills; SQL skills required, Python experience a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with comfort presenting to senior leadership.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools.

Interested in the role, but don't meet every qualification? We encourage you to still apply! The WHOOP compensation philosophy is designed to attract, motivate, and retain exceptional talent by offering competitive base salaries, meaningful equity, and consistent pay practices that reflect our mission and core values.
At WHOOP, we view total compensation as the combination of base salary, equity, and benefits, with equity serving as a key differentiator that aligns our employees with the long-term success of the company and allows every member of our corporate team to own part of WHOOP and share in the company's long-term growth and success.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 -$155,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.
In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.
These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate's specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role's requirements.
