Data Analyst

Location: Boston, MA

Duration: 12+ Months


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze healthcare utilization, capacity, workforce, and public health surveillance data.
  • Clean, integrate, and analyze datasets using SAS, SQL, Snowflake, or similar tools.
  • Develop dashboards, maps, and reports using Tableau, Power BI, and ArcGIS.
  • Monitor near real-time/syndromic surveillance data and identify emerging trends.
  • Support ACORN facility onboarding, data quality, and capacity reporting.
  • Conduct surveillance system evaluations and recommend data quality improvements.
  • Support emergency preparedness and public health response activities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, data briefs, and recommendations for leadership.
  • Collaborate with healthcare facilities, agencies, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in public health data analysis/epidemiology.
  • SAS and SQL experience preferred.
  • Tableau, Power BI, and/or ArcGIS experience.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data, surveillance, and epidemiologic methods.
  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, or related field preferred.
