Job Description:
  • IT Business Senior Analyst
  • Management of New Activity Approval platform(s) is an integral part of Client's Risk Management.
  • It consists of a new build of NextGen Advanced Workflow (AW2) and enhancements to an existing New Product Approval Workflow (NPA).
  • New Activity Approval platforms provides new Products/Service/Business Operating Model/ Capabilities proposals an approval process, risk rating and post implementation review.
  • Client's New Activity Approval platforms provides complete end-to-end processing.
  • As part of self-identified and regulatory remediation efforts, Risk Management has set-up a Product Risk Transformation Group (PTG) to design, develop, test, and implement firm-wide systems to support New Product Approval, NextGen Advanced Workflow, and Product Risk Monitoring (PRM) including Product Inventories, Product Risk Ratings and Ongoing Monitoring of Product Risk profiles.
  • The various Risk Monitoring Governance Frameworks, business specific guidelines and workflow tools are supported by bespoke system developments.
  • The Product Risk Transformation Group will develop the change narrative for key internal senior management and external stakeholder groups, track and report on overall program progress and build business capabilities, draft business requirements and scoping documents, design process flow maps and ensure proper testing of workflow application tools to support the running of end-to-end product governance.
  • New Activity Risk Management Program - Business Analyst and Project Manager - Global Liaison will support all client business lines.
  • The candidate will be working with business partners, various control functions and external consultants, to design and develop process maps, complex workflow maps, use agile sprint methodology and prepare user acceptance testing plans and UAT coordination to support of the New Product Approval Workflow Tool NextGen Advanced Workflow.
  • The candidate must collaborate various lines of business including Institutional Client Group and Global Consumer Banking to learn about challenges and opportunities and translate into solutions.
  • This position entails the identification and evaluation of additional system design improvements to improve workflow efficiency, data integrity, user experience or useability of the system being tested.
  • The Business Analyst and Project Manager -Global Lead will be responsible to translate stakeholder requirements into epic/user stories, workflow/process diagram for an agile delivery model.
  • The candidate will manage major implementation SDLC project life cycle which will include system mock-ups that support the workflow process.
  • The New Activity Approval Business Analyst and Project Manager - Global Liaison also serves an integral part of the larger Product Governance Frameworks team.
  • The team will work together to drive a consistent approach in creating the overall frameworks, with regular sharing of learnings and best practices between the project Frameworks partners, across the different business lines.
  • The New Activity Approval Business Analyst and Project Manager - Global Liaison reports into the Global Product Governance Frameworks Lead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with all business lines (MSS, TTS, CCB, CPB, BCMA, GCB and Treasury), Chief Data Office (CDO) and Technology team leading the design and creating business process flows, workflow design, epic or user stories and technology data flows.
  • Partner effectively with key business and technology teams in translating epic or user stories to ensure New Activities Approval Frameworks are systemized firm wide.
  • Responsible for leading and facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meeting.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to interact with global business groups to elicit, analyze and document Iterative Scoping document
  • Provide post release assistance to business, development, and support groups
  • Lead solution conversations between business groups and technology by providing:
  • Current state and Target state workflow diagrams
  • Screen shots or mockups
  • Use case or Scenarios
  • Drive and support the business leads, to operationalize the business specific guidelines on the technology workflow tool that enables execution and oversight of updated end-to-end new activities approval and governance processes within targeted timeframes on workflow tool.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with others, effectively influencing peers and business partners
  • Self-motivated and organized, with determination to achieve goals; ability to work autonomously when required

Qualifications:
  • 6 to 10 years relevant experience.
  • Degree in economics, finance, risk management, MBA, or CFA or FINRA license.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting Agile Iterative Scoping Documents
  • Demonstrated experience in business requirements documentation, process mapping, process re-engineering and managing large, complex, multi-function and/or multi-business line system project development, deployment, and implementations.
  • Experience working with multi-functional partners and internal stakeholders, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in business process mapping, Visio (or like software), PPT, Excel.
  • Proficient in leading business elicitation meetings, writing use cases, writing test scripts, and organizing user acceptance testing.
  • Demonstrated experience running large infrastructure projects on global basis across multiple business lines
  • Excellent communicator given their primary role of articulating complex, overlapping and requirements and structure firmwide.
  • Experience and ease in interfacing with Senior Management and creating presentations for Senior Management.
  • Knowledge of the relevant customer, industry and product range with an understanding of risk disciplines (e.g. market risk, credit risk, operational risk, etc.) and experience in handling such data.
  • Candidate should be analytical, flexible, team-oriented, have good interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Integrity, honesty, sound judgment, common sense, and attention to detail.
