Job description

If you are a Business Analyst professional Iooking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by designing, improving, and supporting business processes across Emerson's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment and related systems. In this position, you will partner closely with global stakeholders to translate business needs into effective system solutions, strengthen user adoption through training and support, and continuously improve processes through data, experimentation, and collaboration.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Work on multiple initiatives simultaneously, balancing business priorities with available resources.
  • Support a global ERP user community by serving as a system subject matter expert across multiple functional areas, including responding to user inquiries and delivering virtual training sessions for users worldwide.
  • Partner with functional teams, lead business analysts, and development teams to identify opportunities for system and process improvements by gaining a deep understanding of business roles and workflows.
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments to validate system configuration or data changes, ensuring desired outcomes are achieved without negatively impacting dependent processes.
  • Educate end users on configuration options and explain how system changes influence downstream processes.
  • Ensure business process implementations align with established data and process standards defined by the Lead Business Analyst.
  • Apply a variety of analytical tools and techniques to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver ad hoc reports to support management decision-making.
  • Collaborate with ERP technical support to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues reported by users.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support team and business objectives.

Who You Are:
You foster collaboration by working effectively with others to achieve shared goals and deliver solutions that meet the needs of customers and internal stakeholders. You make thoughtful, well-reasoned decisions, even when information is incomplete, and consider the broader organizational and global context in your approach. You continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, from incremental enhancements to more significant redesigns, and you are comfortable experimenting and learning to identify better, more effective solutions.
For This Role, You Will Need:
  • A bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent professional experience that demonstrates the required skills and knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple workstreams, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Cross-functional awareness with the ability to understand and balance the needs of diverse users and business functions.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with global teams, including the ability to work outside of standard U.S. business hours when needed.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • 5 or more years of experience in customer service, order entry, pricing, shipping, inventory, or warehousing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications or similar productivity tools.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence individuals at all levels of the organization through written and verbal communication.
