The Department of Business at Wheeling University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Business Administration, beginning in the Fall 2026 semester. We seek candidates who demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship and are committed to advancing the mission of the Department of Business and Wheeling University.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or DBA in Business, Business Administration, or a closely related field, or be expected to complete the degree by May 2027.

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Business Administration and Accounting, depending on qualifications and departmental needs. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Advising and mentoring undergraduate students.
  • Maintaining an active program of scholarship and professional development.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement and growth of the Business programs.
  • Participating in departmental, school, and university committees.
  • Supporting assessment activities and maintaining compliance with ACBSP accreditation standards.
  • Preparing course syllabi and instructional materials.
  • Assessing student learning, assigning grades, and submitting final grades in a timely manner.
  • Conducting end-of-semester course assessments and surveys.
  • Maintaining accurate attendance and course records using Canvas.
  • Holding regular office hours and providing academic support to students.
  • Ph.D. or DBA in Business, Business Administration, or a closely related field, or be expected to complete the degree by May 2027.
  • Significant professional experience in higher education teaching
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and student success
  • College-level teaching experience
  • Experience with ACBSP-accredited programs
