Job description

Scope:
The position is responsible for driving propane powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices to push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move products, equipment or materials by performing the following duties.
Key high-level deliverables will include:
  • Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Must have a safe work center and be able to mount and dismount the assigned forklift.
  • Positions forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products or materials and transports load to designated area.
  • Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
  • Must strip and remove any metal or plastic bands and shrink wrap from pallets.
  • Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
  • Make certain all work centers are free and clean of any scrap, trash, etc.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases or units.
  • Load trucks for Truck Drivers.
  • Reads Large Order Location (LOL) Sheet, and pulls product from designated locations.
  • Must be capable to stack boxes on a pallet; by lifting, team lifting, or sliding them onto your pallet.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Able to write clearly, so others can read it.

  • Labor Category - Hourly
  • Expected schedule(s):
    • 1st Shift - 6:00am to 2:00pm Monday through Friday
    • 2nd Shift - 2:30PM - 3:00AM (3 days on 3 days off rotations)

Required Education and Experience:
  • Required to understand and communicate in English
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • One to three months experience or training
