Job description

VACANCY FOR THE 2026 - 2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Assistant Transportation Supervisor 
This position assists the Transportation Supervisor by performing the following tasks:



  • Dispatch with transportation fleet
  • Communication with parents and vendors
  • Scheduling and coordinating activities of drivers
  • Designing student transportation routes
  • Maintaining student and driver databases
  • Driving a school bus as necessary


Qualifications:

  • CDL Class "B", with passenger, air brake and school bus endorsement
  • NJ Student Transportation Supervisor Certificate Preferred
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and procedures pertaining to student transportation
  • Requires organizational skills and the ability to communicate professionally
  • Responsibilities include, but not limited to dispatching, staff supervision & coordination, routing, training, clerical work, and driving a school bus

12 Month, Non-Represented Position: Salary, Health Benefits, and other compensation provisions set by the Wall Township Board of Education.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000
