Job Description: Bus Driver

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, On-Call

Department: Facilities

Reports to: Transportation Manager

Summary Description

The Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school as well as sports and field trips in support of the K-12 School's Mission. Ensuring vehicle operation is in a safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses. While maintaining order and enforcing safety regulations on the bus. The position requires a positive attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe pick up and drop off of K -12 students in 2 -3 designated parking locations.
  • No highway, street or traffic loading/unloading points.
  • CDL Class B with passenger and school bus endorsement required. The school is willing to help obtain a CDL for the right candidate and commitment.
  • Current DOT medical card. School pays for medical exam & renewal every other year as required.
  • First aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain (provided by the School).
  • And any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization's Values.
