POSITION SUMMARY
Trinity Christian Academy is seeking retired school bus drivers with CDL and School Bus (S) Endorsement to be part of the on-call list to provide safe, courteous, bus transportation for school events, and calendared field trips.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Exercise maximum regard for the safety and welfare of all transported students while operating a school bus
  • Assists students in the loading and unloading process
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with school staff and the public
  • Provide maximum safety for passengers while on the bus and during loading and unloading
  • Maintain orderly conduct of pupils and manage them in a positive and effective way
  • Complete the school bus driver training program as prescribed by state and local policies
  • Obey all traffic laws
SCHOOL BUS DRIVER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be of good moral character
  • Excellent driving record
  • Valid driver's license for at least 5 years
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, DOT Physical, and dexterity test
  • Good verbal skills
  • Be well-groomed and maintained in personal appearance, as well as be well mannered
Job Type: Be part of the on-call list during the 180-day school year.
Pay: $20.00 per hour.
