Job description

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or grade level equivalent diploma (GED) and be able to pass a background check
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must possess an Iowa Driver's License and have or be willing to obtain the following endorsements: CDL, Air Brake, School Bus and Passenger
  • Effective communication skills

Requirements Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • A pre-employment background check, drug test, and DOT physical will be required. Must be able to pass the STOP training course within six months of hire and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Provide an appropriate role model for the students
  • Maintain confidentiality on sensitive information
  • Maintain a high standard of student conduct at all times
  • Keeping the bus clean and inspecting for damages and repairs daily
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements: Bending, carrying, climbing, driving, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking.
