Graduate by Hilton Bloomingtonis seeking a Banquet Server to join our Food & Beverage teamto support Banquet & Catering operations and deliver a consistent, welcoming experience for our guests.

Compensation:

Banquet serving shifts: $16.00/hour

Barista shifts (as assigned): $10.50/hour + pooled tips

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Follow direction from Food & Beverage Manager to support smooth event execution
  • Interpret Banquet Event Order (BEO) documents and carry out event setup and service in alignment with the details provided
  • Prepare banquet rooms for events, including setting tables, linens, dishes, glassware, and silverware
  • Bus and set tables, including food, beverages, and condiments as needed
  • Serve food and beverages to guests during events, following service standards
  • Provide attentive and professional guest service, ensuring needs are met promptly
  • Assist in cleaning and organizing event spaces at the completion of events
  • Monitor and restock supplies as needed throughout service
  • Maintain cleanliness and operational standards for all banquet equipment
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a healthy work environment
  • Contribute ideas and effort to improve event setup, service flow, and guest satisfaction
  • Comfort lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Assist Poindexter Coffee as a barista when necessary
    • Welcome and assist customers by determining their coffee preferences and needs
    • Educate guests by presenting and explaining the coffee menu
    • Prepare and sell coffee beverages following established recipes and preparation techniques
    • Maintain inventory by replenishing coffee beans, supplies, and pastries
    • Keep coffee equipment clean and in working order by following instructions and performing routine maintenance
    • Support cafe operations by maintaining organization, cleanliness, and overall appearance of the bar
    • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Prior Food Service experience preferred but not required
