Job Description:

The Cement Bulk Plant Hand assists with the daily bulk plant operations, monitors yard, and performs general housekeeping duties.
Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily bulk plant operations
  • Operate forklift to scale out products, load hopper, and load or unload pallets (when applicable)
  • Monitor yard and perform general housekeeping duties
  • Wear full face respirator
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, must be able to read and follow directions in English
  • Forklift operator certified preferred
  • Knowledge of safe hand tool use
  • Personable, able to communicate with teammates and supervisors
  • Able to safely perform duties during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days or nights, weekends, holidays, and in extreme weather conditions
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Able to lift 50 LBS safely
  • Able to lift 25 LBS over your head
