Investment Banking Associate - Healthcare M&A
Bulge Bracket Bank is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate to join our dedicated healthcare investment banking team. This is a critical role for a professional with a proven track record in middle-market sell-side M&A who is looking to leverage their expertise in a fast-paced, high-deal-flow environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deal Execution: Lead the execution of sell-side M&A transactions, ensuring high-quality output across all phases of the deal lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor analysts on deal teams, overseeing financial modeling, valuation analysis, and the preparation of marketing materials (CIMs, Teasers, etc.).
  • Financial Excellence: Construct complex financial models and utilize healthcare-specific valuation methodologies to provide strategic insights.
  • Client Interaction: Act as a primary point of contact for clients and senior-level professionals, delivering exceptional communication and strategic advice.
  • Strategic Thinking: Apply deep industry knowledge of healthcare services and Healthcare IT (HCIT) to identify trends and solve complex transaction hurdles.

Qualifications & Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess a "deal-first" mentality and meet the following strict criteria:
  • Experience: 4-6 years of investment banking experience, specifically within an elite boutique or bulge bracket firm.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Life Science, or a related field (Advanced degree preferred).
  • M&A Track Record: Must have closed three or more sell-side M&A transactions.
  • Training Background: Experience at a firm with 10+ professionals, ensuring exposure to formal training and structured deal teams.
  • Licensing: Series 79 is required; Series 63 is preferred (open to discussion).
Specific Industry Experience
  • Primary Focus: Healthcare (Services and HCIT).
  • Secondary Experience Considered: TMT, Consumer, Industrials, or Financial Sponsors (specifically PE Portfolio Company transactions).
  • Exclusions: Experience in Real Estate, Public Finance, Power & Utilities, Public Markets, or Biotech Financings is not applicable for this role.
Eligibility Note
  • Candidates must have completed a 2 or 3-year full-time Analyst program.
  • No MBA Associates, unless a full-time investment banking analyst program was completed prior to the MBA.
