Job description

Job Title: Investment Banking Associate

Reports to: Head of Investment Banking

Department: Investment Banking, Medical Devices & Diagnostics

Location: Santa Monica, CA

Salary Range: $175,000-$225,000

The Investment Banking Associate will be a key member of an experienced team of investment bankers focused on healthcare companies. The successful candidate will provide support to senior bankers in executing M&A and financing transactions for clients across the life sciences tools and diagnostics vertical. This position offers direct CEO, CFO and Board level contact, as well as significant responsibility and opportunity for advancement. The ideal candidate will have previous healthcare investment banking experience at the Associate level.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve an integral team leader in client transactions, projects, or assignments as an Investment Banking Associate.

Advise with clients and manage internal investment banking team & product teams

Assist in preparation of presentations and marketing materials (e.g. CIM, Management Presentations, etc.) for current and prospective clients

Prepare valuation analyses and other financial modeling analysis of clients and targets

Review business plans, conduct research and analyze financial statements

Review and manage due diligence process, including virtual data room preparation and counterparty Q&A

Experience and Qualifications Required:

+3 years of investment banking experience, healthcare related transactions preferred

Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including knowledge of financial accounting

Qualified candidates with a BS or BA in finance or similar field of study and a demonstrated exemplary academic record

Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Highly motivated, energetic, personable and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic, meritocratic, team-oriented work environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office
