Join a leading AI research initiative focused on improving how advanced AI systems understand and perform real-world investment banking work. We are seeking experienced investment banking professionals who can bring rigorous industry expertise to the evaluation of AI-generated and human-produced banking deliverables.
In this role, you will help define what high-quality investment banking work looks like by creating detailed evaluation criteria, reviewing completed work samples, and providing clear, evidence-based explanations for your assessments. Your expertise will help establish the standards used to measure the accuracy, quality, and professional relevance of AI systems.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop precise, task-specific grading criteria for investment banking deliverables, including financial models, valuation analyses, pitch books, CIMs, transaction materials, deal memos, and board or investment committee presentations.
  • Evaluate AI-generated and human-produced work against established criteria and provide detailed written justifications for each assessment.
  • Assess the accuracy, completeness, analytical rigor, formatting, and professional quality of banking work products.
  • Apply consistent and objective judgment to ensure evaluation results are reproducible, defensible, and aligned with real-world investment banking standards.
  • Identify analytical errors, flawed assumptions, inconsistencies, formatting issues, and gaps in reasoning that could affect the quality of a deliverable.
  • Incorporate feedback from senior reviewers and continuously refine evaluation approaches and scoring frameworks.
  • Translate practical investment banking judgment into clear standards that can be applied to AI evaluation and training.
Ideal Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional investment banking experience, preferably at the Associate level or above.
  • Experience at a leading global investment bank, elite advisory boutique, or comparable financial institution.
  • Background in M&A, investment banking coverage, or capital markets.
  • Strong command of core investment banking practices, including:
    • Three-statement financial modeling
    • DCF valuation
    • LBO modeling
    • Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis
    • Merger and transaction modeling
    • Valuation analysis and judgment
    • Deal-process documentation
    • Pitch books and CIMs
    • Board and investment committee materials

  • Strong understanding of the accuracy, presentation, formatting, and quality standards expected in professional investment banking deliverables.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain why a piece of work meets or falls short of professional standards.
  • Highly detail-oriented and consistent, with the ability to apply structured evaluation criteria objectively.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and calibrating judgment against other experienced professionals.
  • Prior experience with AI training, model evaluation, data annotation, or human-data projects is a strong plus.
Application Process
  • Submit your resume or relevant professional background to begin the application process.
  • Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a brief technical or domain-specific assessment.
  • Additional information about your investment banking experience may be requested during the evaluation process.
Equal Opportunity
We consider all qualified applicants without regard to legally protected characteristics and provide reasonable accommodations upon request.
Contract and Payment Terms
  • Engagement will be structured as an independent contractor opportunity.
  • This is a fully remote role with flexible scheduling.
  • Project duration and workload may vary based on program requirements and performance.
  • Work will focus exclusively on assigned evaluation and research activities and will not require access to confidential or proprietary information belonging to any current or former employer, client, or institution.
  • Payments will be made weekly through available payment platforms based on completed services.
  • Applicants requiring H-1B or STEM OPT sponsorship are not currently supported.
