Class Summary
The Building Systems Manager position of the Operations and Maintenance division will have the responsibility of managing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for those facilities under the responsibility of the Department of Support Services. The incumbent will supervise trades staff and administer service contracts in support of these systems and facilities. In addition, the incumbent will oversee building automation, access control, fire alarm, security alarm, video surveillance, and other control systems. Incumbent will direct engineering projects to include defining project budget, developing, reviewing, and approving designs, and performing data analysis. Additionally, the incumbent will maintain reports and coordinate the RFP process.
This position is a grade 106.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; AND
  • Six (6) years of progressively responsible engineering and/or facility maintenance program management experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, such as those listed above.
