Job description

Building Services Specialist

About the Role
 As a Building Services Specialist at Bank of Springfield, you will play a vital role in maintaining the functionality, safety, and appearance of our facilities. This hands-on position supports multiple locations and is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced in general building maintenance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs, including minor plumbing, electrical, heating, carpentry, and painting tasks.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain records for BOS equipment, including vehicles, using basic computer programs (e.g., Excel, Word).
  • Evaluate repair needs and coordinate with outside vendors to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Purchase parts and supplies as directed and maintain inventory of tools and materials.
  • Perform grounds maintenance based on seasonal needs not covered by vendors.
  • Assist with environmental and facility-related tasks such as moving furniture, deliveries, and unloading materials.
  • Respond to maintenance emergencies and travel to all BOS branch locations as needed.
  • Model BOS values and act with integrity in all interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience (including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and snow removal).
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no violations within the past five years).
  • Ability to pass background and security checks.
  • Ability to operate machinery and lift 50+ pounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $35,000 - $50,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, compensation may include bonuses, benefits, and other incentives.
