Overview

Construction Resources (CR) is a leading building products distributor serving with a portfolio that includes countertops, appliances, lighting, garage doors, fireplaces, flooring, and more. As we expand into the Dallas market, we are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Operations Manager to lead and oversee all local operational functions. This role will be the key driver of execution in the market, ensuring operational excellence, efficiency, and customer satisfaction as CR establishes a best-in-class presence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

 - Direct all aspects of Dallas operations, including warehouse operations, dispatch, fleet management, field service management, and installation performance.

- Manage and support Warehouse, Dispatch, and Installation leadership to ensure seamless cross-functional execution.

Fabrication Oversight: - Oversee capacity planning, staffing, and production schedule completion to align with customer commitments.

- Partner with the Fabrication Manager to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery of finished product.

Warehouse & Logistics:

- Manage inbound and outbound warehouse operations, inventory control, and order accuracy.

- Ensure optimal routing, loading, and scheduling for on-time delivery.

Fleet Management:

- Oversee all aspects of the Charleston fleet, including box trucks, service vans, and pickups.

- Leverage Samsara for fleet tracking, compliance, safety, and performance optimization. 

- Partner with Dispatch leadership to drive efficiency and reduce downtime.

Field Service & Installation Performance:

- Ensure best-in-class installation standards and jobsite execution, driving high levels of customer satisfaction.

- Implement effective field service management processes and technology to track performance and resolve issues.

People & Culture: - Recruit, train, and develop the Charleston operations team.

- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Process & Systems:

- Implement and manage operational systems (including SYSPRO ERP, DispatchTrack, and Samsara fleet management).

- Track KPIs, analyze data, and execute process improvements.

Experience

7+ years in operations management, preferably in building products distribution, construction services, or related industries.

Proven ability to build, develop, and lead teams across warehouse, dispatch, fleet, and field service functions

Familiarity with ERP and logistics systems (SYSPRO, DispatchTrack, and Samsara experience a plus).

Strong project management skills, detail orientation, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth environment.

Demonstrated track record of ensuring high levels of installation quality and customer satisfaction.
