Maintenance Assistance Job Opening - The Wyndmoor of Portage
Join Our Team:
The Wyndmoor of Portage, a fully licensed and Medicaid Waiver certified Independent and Assisted Living facility, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistance to join our team! For over twenty years, we have been honored to serve the greater Porter area with compassion, empathy, and continuity of care. Our commitment to personalized care has led to strong personal and lasting relationships within our facility, and we're excited to continue this tradition with the right candidate.
About the Role:
As a Maintenance Assistance, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facility. Your responsibilities will include performing maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements of equipment, fixtures, and appliances to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
Cleaning and sanitizing of common areas and resident rooms
Changing light bulbs and fixtures
Performing minor repairs and adjustments
Restocking supplies and linen
Collaborate with other departments to resolve maintenance-related issues
Develop and maintain a cleaning schedule and priority list
Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks and repairs
Requirements:
Experience necessary
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
