Job description

Building Maintenance Technician
St. Francis, WI
Full-Time | First Shift | $26.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

Molasky Development is seeking a dependable, hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to support operations at a federally occupied commercial property in St. Francis, Wisconsin. This is a fixed-location, first-shift position supporting daily building maintenance, preventive maintenance, work orders, light repairs, and custodial support as needed.

This role reports to the Facility Manager and serves as backup support when needed. The position also participates in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours building needs.

What you will do

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on building systems and equipment
  • Assist with general commercial building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and carpentry work
  • Complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner
  • Support routine custodial and building upkeep tasks as needed
  • Assist with snow removal and exterior weather-related response when necessary
  • Identify building issues early and report operational concerns to the Facility Manager
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and professional facility environment
  • Participate in rotating on-call coverage for occasional nights and weekends

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facility operations, or a similar role
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and general building repair
  • Ability to safely use standard hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and respond effectively to changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and professional interaction with tenants, vendors, and coworkers
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA and related workplace requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

Federal facility requirement

Because this property is occupied by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, candidates must be able to successfully complete and maintain all required background screening, credentialing, drug screening, and site-access requirements associated with working at an FBI-occupied federal facility.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 90 pounds, and push, pull, or move heavier items with assistance or proper equipment
  • Ability to work at heights and safely use ladders

Schedule and benefits

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Fixed work location in St. Francis, WI
  • Rotating on-call coverage with the Facility Manager
  • Two weeks paid vacation, with a third week after five years
