Description
The Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across utility, infrastructure, vegetation management, emergency response, and related markets. This position focuses on generating qualified leads, building relationships with prospective clients, and supporting Greentek Resources' continued growth through strategic sales efforts. Working closely with Proposal Management, Estimating, Operations, Safety, Finance, and Executive Leadership, the Business Development Specialist develops prospecting strategies, coordinates client engagement activities, and supports the pursuit of new contracts. Success in this role is measured by pipeline development, new customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
Essential Functions:
  • Identify, research, and qualify prospective customers within utility, municipal, infrastructure, vegetation management, and emergency response markets.
  • Develop and maintain an active pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through phone calls, email campaigns, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Schedule and conduct introductory meetings, presentations, and capability reviews with prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key decision-makers, procurement personnel, and industry partners.
  • Represent Greentek at conferences, trade shows, customer meetings, and networking events.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities within the company's customer tracking system.
  • Collaborate with Proposal Management and Estimating to support proposal development and customer pursuits.
  • Support contract negotiations and facilitate a smooth transition of awarded projects to Operations.
  • Research market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming procurement opportunities.
  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, Estimating, and Safety to align pricing, capabilities, and compliance with customer requirements.

Requirements
Required Education, Experience, Certifications, and Licenses
  • Required Education, Certification, Experience, and Licenses
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, operations management, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining, heavy industrial operations, construction, or aggregate operations.

  • Experience overseeing heavy equipment operations and site logistics.

  • Strong understanding of MSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements.

  • Proven ability to manage contractors, vendors, and operational teams.

  • Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting skills.

  • Ability to manage budgets, track costs, and control operational expenses.

  • Proficiency with basic computer systems, reporting tools, and documentation platforms.

  • Willingness to obtain required MSHA training and certifications.

  • Availability to work extended hours and weekends as operational needs require.
