Here's how a Manager Integrated Construction Technology for PCL Buildings Inc. within Phoenix Buildings contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
  • Ensures multidiscipline construction models are current and modeling standards are being adhered to, to meet construction needs.
  • Manages integrated construction resource allocation at the district level and leads department process improvement activities.
  • Liaises with estimating to establish and manage staffing resources and budgets for new pursuits and projects.
  • Participates in project interviews and proposal writing in respect to virtual design construction (VDC) & other integrated technologies.
  • Supports the setup, management, and best practices of digital workflows.
  • Coordinates and manages trade detailing and design deliverables.
  • Liaises between design teams and construction teams.
  • During the pursuit stage, works with the project team to review and recommend scopes that VDC tools and processes can be incorporated into the project.
  • Participates in scoping design deliverables and trade detailing requirements.
  • Participates in the pursuit and proposal of a project including the narrative and presentation material development and delivery.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural).
  • 8 to 10 years of construction-related experience including 4 to 5 years of Virtual Design and Construction-related experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequences.
  • Strong understanding of and proven experience implementing construction technology.
  • Ability to provide project model management.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the building construction process and the various building components involved at each stage of construction.
  • Ability to ensure the quality of virtual design and construction models from design and trade partners.
  • Understanding of trade detailing and design workflows.
  • Advanced ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications and translate 2D drawings and specifications into a complete 3D/4DBuilding Information Model.
  • Advanced understanding and training in 3D modeling software.

The estimated salary range for this role is $111,000 - $143,500, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
