Job description

Position Summary:
A Service/ NA Technician role services pressure control equipment brought in from the field by performing maintenance, repairing, rebuilding, and recertifying the equipment. The Service/NA Technician will also assembly new pressure control equipment and products. All service and assembly work is done with strict adherence to quality standards and FHE expectations.
Job Description/Expectations:
Service:
  • Review and understand work instructions and QMS requirements
  • Receive Equipment
  • Visually Inspect Equipment
  • Tear-down Equipment and determine what parts are needed to rebuild/service
  • Work with Purchasing & Inventory to get parts needed to complete jobs.
  • Build Equipment

New Assembly:
  • Review equipment drawings prior to starting the assembly job
  • Utilize the drawings throughout the assembly to ensure proper assembly and necessary requirements are met.
  • Efficiently clean and prepare all pieces for assembly
  • Assemble equipment designated to be on the jobs

Other related tasks completed for both service and assembly jobs and general department expectations:
  • All jobs need to have proper Marking & Stamping of the equipment
  • All jobs should have proper Palletizing & Labeling of Equipment
  • Understand and complete Job paperwork/Job Boards through CORE.
  • Assist other departments in the shop to ensure progress in the service /NA department.
  • Maintain and Track tools - ensure they are in good working order before use.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Any other duties or tasks as assigned, based on business needs and the supervisor(s) request

Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Oil field Equipment repair experience preferred.
  • Wash Bay, Sandblasting and Equipment painting experience preferred
  • Compiling, checking, and recording information.
  • Communication proficiency, organizational skills, mathematical skills, thoroughness, time management.
  • Read, write, and communicate clearly in English
  • General understanding of Pressure Control Equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience preferred
  • Good decision-making skills with ability to work under pressure

Environmental Conditions and Work Environment:
  • Exposure to certain contaminants, at times.
  • Exposure to loud noise levels, at times.
  • This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
  • Use of standard office and warehouse equipment.

Tools and Equipment Used:
  • May be required to operate forklift to maneuver parts at times, operate overhead crane, sanders, various welding equipment and tools, grinders, generators, wrenches, common hand and power tools.

Physical Demands:
  • This position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, pushing, pulling, repetitive motions, coordination and dexterity, sitting, walking, stooping and handling materials.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 without physical restrictions.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color and peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Employees are regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • The use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes/boots, gloves, hard hats, and hearing protection daily.
