Key Responsibilities:

Software Engineering

o Program entire BAS system and develop equipment database infrastructure

o Develop Bacnet instance numbering schemes and incorporate BAS networking concepts

o Utilize various BAS protocols such as Bacnet, Modbus, Lon, etc.

o Site-specific configuration of the WebCTRL system (using SiteBuilder).

o Programming of control algorithms including those that include third-party integration (using Eikon).

o Development of graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems (using Eikon and ViewBuilder).

o Testing of programming and interfaces prior to deployment.

  • Support of functional testing (commissioning) for building systems.

  • Final documentation of the building automation system that incorporates all changes made since issuance of the submittal.

  • Clear communication and proactive expectation setting with supervisor and project teams.

Customer and Departmental Standards

o Ensure engineering processes are followed, and make suggestions for enhancement

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of 4 years of experience in HVAC or BAS controls

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, building automation, or related field.

5+ years of related experience in the Building Automation industry.

Competency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software.

  • Understands electrical and mechanical building systems.

  • Able to balance multiple concurrent priorities.

Proficient with primary functions of BAS software and associated engineering tools (Automated Logic suite preferred).

Familiarity with third-party communication protocols used in building automation (e.g. BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.). Able to design integrations with the same.

Aptitude for problem solving even when troubleshooting remotely.

Basic time management skills including the ability to accurately estimate time required to complete tasks and deliver on the committed timeline.

Effective and professional communication and organization skills.

  • Able to understand and recommend modifications to sequences of operations for the automation of building systems.

  • Working knowledge of Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services.

  • Understanding of Enterprise IP networks, including layout.

Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
