Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication help in troubleshooting, collaborating with teams, and ensuring system reliability. These skills and qualities are essential to optimize building performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort in increasingly complex facilities.

What are building automation controls?

Building automation controls are systems used by building automation controls professionals to manage and monitor building functions such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, and security. These systems often involve the use of sensors, controllers, and software to improve energy efficiency, comfort, and safety. Technicians in this field typically work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), BACnet protocols, and building management systems (BMS).
