Controls TechnicianCompany: HireNow Staffing (Direct Placement Partner)HireNow SnapshotHireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Controls Technician to join one of our valued client partners in Grand Bay, Alabama. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced automation professional with a strong background in industrial controls, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and electrical troubleshooting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining industrial automation systems while ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and program industrial control systems
  • Install, commission, test, and troubleshoot industrial automation equipment
  • Program, modify, and maintain PLC and SCADA systems
  • Diagnose electrical, automation, and control system issues to minimize equipment downtime
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system optimization activities
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and system specifications
  • Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and production teams
  • Ensure all automation systems comply with applicable safety standards and company procedures
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, control system improvements, and process optimization
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and project documentation
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of Controls Technician experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Experience programming and supporting PLC control systems
  • Experience working with SCADA systems
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of industrial automation equipment and control devices
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Grand Bay, Alabama
