Overview

Savant is seeking an experienced  Vice President of Builder & Developer Sales to lead the company's expansion within the residential new construction, multifamily, and developer channels across North America.

This sales leader will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy that positions and drives Savant’s smart home platform into production builders, luxury developers, multifamily operators, and strategic channel partners.

Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, this individual will drive revenue growth, establish key national partnerships, and lead a high-performing team focused on Savant's powerful ecosystem—including smart lighting, climate control, energy management, battery storage, intelligent power, entertainment, shades, security, and AI-driven home experiences—into new residential communities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute Savant's builder and developer growth strategy across North America.
  • Establish long-term relationships with national, regional, and luxury builders, developers, architects, and design firms.
  • Create scalable programs that drive specification, adoption, and recurring revenue opportunities.
  • Identify emerging market trends and competitive dynamics within residential construction, smart home technology, and home energy management.

Revenue Growth

  • Own revenue, profitability, and market share objectives for the builder and developer channel.
  • Build strategic partnerships with top national builders, multifamily developers, and master-planned community operators.
  • Drive adoption of Savant's complete intelligent living and energy management platform.
  • Develop channel programs that increase attach rates and homeowner upgrade opportunities.

Partnership Development

  • Cultivate executive-level relationships with major builders, developers, utilities, HVAC manufacturers, solar providers, and strategic ecosystem partners.
  • Collaborate with product management and executive leadership to influence future roadmap initiatives aligned with builder market needs.
  • Represent Savant at major industry events including IBS, CEDIA, Builder 100, and regional builder conferences.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, and lead a best-in-class national builder sales organization.
  • Establish performance metrics, forecasting disciplines, and strategic account planning processes.
  • Foster a culture focused on execution, accountability, collaboration, and growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing to develop builder-focused programs, model home strategies, and demand-generation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Customer Experience teams to ensure successful deployment and support.
  • Work closely with Product Management to align offerings with builder and developer requirements.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of executive sales leadership experience within residential construction, building products, smart home technology, energy management, HVAC, electrical, or adjacent industries.
  • Proven success managing national builder and developer relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close complex multi-million-dollar agreements.

  • Experience leading and scaling high-performing sales organizations.

  • Strong understanding of residential construction channels and go-to-market strategies.

Compensation

  • The base salary range is $150,000 - $250,000 + Incentive Plan.  The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Savant is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
  • This is a direct-hire position with full benefits including:  medical insurance;  dental insurance;  vision plan;  life insurance;  pet insurance;  FSA / HSA;  12 paid holidays;  permissive time off policy;  401k plan with employer match;  reimbursement for preapproved reasonable and necessary business expenses.
