The Budgeting Intern will assist the billing department with various tasks, including but not limited to, developing and implementing a more efficient record management system and workflow tracking. Essential functions include:
  1. Inputting billing related data into spreadsheet and accounting systems and ensuring records are up to date.
  2. Supporting the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reports.
  3. Analyzing budget performance to identify various trends, variances, and potential areas for cost efficiency.
  4. Participating in meetings with Department leaders to discuss budget-related matters.
  5. Communicating with other departments to gather information needed for invoicing.
  6. Performing other duties as assigned.

Hours Per Week:
Up to 37.5 Hours Per Week

$19/hr

Working Conditions:
This position is based in an office setting with standard office equipment. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. However, the business needs of Pace may result in work schedules outside the typical hours/workdays.
This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote telecommuting.
Qualifications
Age:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university and working towards a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Transportation Planning, or other related field.
Licenses/Certifications:
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Proficiencies:
Must demonstrate working knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Knowledge of accounting (payables) and finance (invoicing) are preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, frequently stand and/or walk within an office environment, lift and carry up to 25lbs, use a keyboard and type for prolonged periods.
