Job description

The Budget Specialist is responsible for assisting in the execution of the Space Integration and Interdiction Division (SI2D) budget. The Budget Specialist will perform a wide variety of budgetary processes and techniques to maintain control over the receipt and issue of all direct and customer funds on a timely basis to support program objectives and goals. The Budget Specialist will operate standard accounting tools (GFEBS) to execute purchase requests in support of SI2D contract actions and Other Government Organization support needs. The Budget Specialist should be familiar with and understand Army and DoD budget and financial management procedures and directives. The Budget Specialist will analyze and track commitment, obligation and disbursement levels and provide recommendations to support SI2D business management operations. The Budget Specialist will participate in financial meetings.

Required Experience
  • Recent experience with GFEBS - minimum five years
  • Experienced MS Excel user
