We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Medical & Scientific Affairs and Market Access team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the strategic and operational aspects of market access within a leading life sciences company. The intern will support initiatives that ensure optimal patient access to innovative diagnostics through pricing, reimbursement, and health policy strategies.

The Market Access Intern will gain:

This position reports to the Medical & Scientific Affairs and Market Access Leader and will be a remote role with preferred physical location in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. If the intern is close in proximity, will have to ability to work on site as a hybrid role.

What will you do:

  • Support Market Access Strategy Development:Assist in the preparation of market access plans, including stakeholder mapping, payer landscape analysis, and value proposition development.
  • Data Collection & Analysis:Conduct research on healthcare systems, reimbursement pathways, and pricing trends across global markets.
  • Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR):Support the development of value dossiers, budget impact models, and literature reviews.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with other colleagues in the Medical & Scientific Affairs, Regulatory and Commercial teams to align market access strategies.
  • Competitive Intelligence:Monitor competitor activities and policy changes that may impact access and reimbursement.
  • Administrative & Project Support:Help organize internal meetings, prepare presentations, and maintain project documentation.

Who are you:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Health Economics, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in healthcare policy, test pricing, and patient access.

The hourly range for this role is $28-30.00. This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the rate of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
