The buddy system helps new employees feel welcome, accelerates their learning, and can improve job satisfaction and retention. Buddies typically share insights about company processes, social norms, and available resources, making the transition smoother for newcomers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Buddy, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Buddy, you need strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and the ability to provide support and encouragement, though no formal qualifications are typically required. Familiarity with communication tools or platforms, such as instant messaging or scheduling apps, may be helpful depending on the context. Job description

Buddy’s Cocktail Bartender: High-Volume / No Drama

Buddy’s Harbor Boutique Resort & Marina — McCoy Cove

The 2026 Season is Here.

With our new boat slips for up to 22 large boats, ongoing resort renovation, and the addition of the Silo Bar Pavilion, Buddy’s Harbor is certainly on the map in 2026. We are looking for talented, charismatic cocktail bartenders who can move fast, stay cool, and stack serious cash.

The Deal:
  • Compensation: $10/hr + High-Volume Tips (Big boats = big tips).

  • The Vibe: High-energy, waterfront, fast-paced.

  • The Team: Professional, efficient, and strictly Zero Drama.

What You’ll Do:
  • Craft high-quality cocktails with speed and precision (no "slow-motion" mixology here).

  • Provide a "top-notch" resort experience for boaters and guests.

  • Keep the bar stocked, clean, and ready for the next wave.

  • Collaborate with the kitchen and dock crew to keep the energy up.

What We’re Looking For:
  • 3+ Years Experience: You know your way around a shaker and a busy bar!

  • The "Hustle" Factor: You thrive when the bar is three-deep and the music is up.

  • No Drama: We work hard and have fun, but we leave the personal baggage at home!

  • Certification: TIPS or ServSafe is a plus.

Ready to spend your summer at the Lake’s best new spot? If you've got the skills and the right attitude, Buddy’s wants you.
