Job Description

Oversee the finance and accounting functions for the Building / Finishing Business Unit, a division of Sika Corp. Provide strategic guidance from a finance perspective as a member of the BU Building / Finishing Management Team. Financial planning, development, monitoring, and reporting.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead and oversee the annual budgeting process, as well as ongoing P&L forecasting to enable the business unit to deliver on key revenue and EBITDA targets
  • Collaborate with business unit leadership and department heads to provide insights into revenue growth, cost reduction, and capital investment
  • Monitor key EBITDA levers and provide recommendations on corrective actions to business unit leaders as necessary
  • Oversee development and distribution monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet). Perform variance analysis and though understanding of underlying cost drivers, provide forward-looking recommendations on resource allocation to achieve EBITDA targets
  • Partner with business leaders and department heads to identify and implement process improvements
  • Monitor compliance with key policies, internal controls and financial reporting as outlined in the Sika Controllers handbook.
  • Manage the month end close process for the business unit
  • Liaison for SAP matters relating to BU Building / Finishing.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills – ability to synthesize large amounts of financial data and utilizing business intelligence tools to uncover meaningful insights and opportunities
  • Leadership communication and executive presence - comfortable presenting to senior leaders and challenging and influencing decisions where appropriate
  • Strategic problem-solving - proficiency in piecing together various financial puzzle pieces to create comprehensive growth strategies and forecast potential scenarios
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • BS in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years of progressive financial management experience
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Proficiency with SAP preferred
