***WORK STUDY ELIGIBLE PREFERRED*** The University of NewMexico, College of Population Health (COPH) invites applications for a StudentOffice Assistant, to assist with covering the front desk between the hours ofeither 8:00AM- 12:30 PM or 12:30-5:00 PM.
The COPH at the University of New Mexico's Health Sciences Center, serves NewMexico's communities, government and non-profit agencies, businesses andhealth-related organizations. The College and Health Sciences Center have deepconnections to our diverse Native, Latino/Hispanic and African Americancommunities, with missions to improve the health and health equity of lowincome, underrepresented minority, and other vulnerable populations. The COPHhouses three education programs: the Bachelor of Science in Population Health(BSPH) and the Master of Public Health (MPH) and the newly created PhD inHealth Equity Sciences.

We are looking for students who are work study eligible,positive thinkers, enjoy learning, demonstrate responsibility, and strongattention to detail. Student Office Assistants will assist customers, studentsand instructors by email, telephone, and in-person, and respond to customerinquiries. Furthermore, the Student Office Assistant will assist with variousadministrative projects, and learn the basic tasks found in an officeenvironment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Cover the front desk of the College of Population Health
  • Assist customers, students and instructors by email, telephone, and in-person, respond to inquiries, and provide information about our College.
  • Perform a variety of routine data entry and data maintenance tasks;
  • Assist on special projects as needed
  • Copy and/or duplicate materials as requested;
  • Some light lifting (up to 25lbs) and light cleaning;
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
