Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Branch Manager to oversee the overall success of our branch. This role is pivotal in driving profitability, generating sales, and leading a high-performing team. As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and managing branch operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Sales Management: Lead and motivate the inside sales team to retain current customers and attract new, profitable clients.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective resolution of product delivery issues, troubleshooting, and onsite technical assistance. Assume the role of lead customer service contact for key accounts entailing quoting, order entry, purchase order entry, and expediting.
  • Purchasing: Oversee all purchasing activity for the branch to ensure 100% on-time delivery to customers
  • Operations: Oversee and manage the warehouse operation
  • Value Add: Oversee and manage branch value added operations including electro-mechanical assembly operation, valve bank assembly, and VMI programs
  • Supplier Relations: Maintain and nurture key relationships with local suppliers to support branch operations.
  • Planning & Strategy: Develop and implement short- and long-term plans to meet customer needs and achieve branch-specific goals.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage all financial aspects including sales, expenses, and asset control.
  • Team Supervision: Directly supervise the inside sales team, warehouse team, and assembly team ensuring their alignment with branch objectives. Hiring, training, and developing branch personnel.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, communicate, and manage people effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and mathematical skills for financial management and problem-solving.
  • Industry Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in sales or operations in the Industrial Supply Industry. Ideally this would include applying bearing, power transmission, and automation components to solve industrial applications. Experience outside the distribution industry will also be considered including operations, procurement, and sales in a manufacturing environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly reliable with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in computer use, including all ERP functions, email communication, and report generation. Must possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude and the ability to multi-task.
  • Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 or similar distribution software preferred, but not required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Education: Associate degree or two-year college equivalent preferred but not required
