We are searching for a Senior Interior Designer to join our growing studio in Houston!

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure clientโ€™s vision is met through design, function and detailed drawings
  • Develop an optimal design solution for the project that meets clientโ€™s needs and represents the companyโ€™s standard quality of design
  • Present design solutions to the client
  • Maintain constant professional communications with client, project team and consultants
  • Manage all aspects associated with projects including proposals, exhibits, contracts, project budget and profitability
  • Develop a schedule of integrated tasks required to accomplish individual projects; monitor progress toward the deliverable schedule
  • Oversee development of fully coordinated quality design documents
  • Create focus within the studio discipline on improving project outcomes โ€“ client satisfaction, design leadership, overall quality, staff engagement/communication and project profitability
  • Follow Core Processes using design tools, project management tools and technology techniques across the discipline to ensure consistency in how projects are delivered
  • Work collaboratively with design leaders to elevate the quality of design on all projects
  • Mentor Interior Designers โ€“ provide training and leadership through project work to empower, train and develop staff

Education and Experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA Accredited Program
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in the design industry including construction documentation and field observation
    • Experience with projects focused on Healthcare, Higher Education and/or Lab Design preferred
  • Professional Licensure/Certifications: NCIDQ Certification preferred
  • Software Skills: Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam; Microsoft Windows envrionment; Graphic Software: InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Enscape
