Primary Purpose of the Organization:
The primary mission of the Dr. Henry M. Eldridge Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is to prepare students, especially those from historically underrepresented groups, to enter careers in mathematics, computer science, technology, engineering, and education, and to continue their education beyond the undergraduate level.
The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Fayetteville State University invites applications for a fixed term Lecturer of Computer Science to begin in January 2027.
Primary Purpose of the Position:
The primary purpose of the position would be to teach undergraduate computer science courses offered by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science to its majors and to majors from other departments.
Please note that this posting is for two vacancies. All applicants who apply will be considered for both positions.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
A master's degree in computer science, or a closely related field, with at least 18 credit hours of computer science courses at graduate level and a record of excellence in teaching and service commensurate with the rank of Lecturer.
