Japanese logistics company is seeking Japanese Bilingual Sales and Operation in Georgetown, KY!
Employment type: Full-Time
Work hours: Monday – Friday, 9am to 6pm
Job title: Sales and Operation
Pay range: $60K~$80K
Job Description :
Essential Duties
1. Expand the existing account business
2. Develop the new business, new accounts
3. Develop customized proposals and pricing strategies to win new freight opportunities.
4. Negotiate rates and terms with customers to close profitable deals.
5. Collaborate with Steam shipping company and Airlines, warehouse, carrier sales, dispatch, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of freight movements.
6. Monitor market trends, spot rates, and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
7. Provide weekly sales activity reports, pipeline updates, and revenue forecasts to leadership.
8. Establish a high-performing and profitable freight brokerage operation and eventually take on a leadership role to guide and expand a team of top-performing freight brokers.
9. Visit to customer, vendor, port, if necessary (Including weekends and holidays as needed).
10. Providing other general support regarding shipping and logistics coordination as needed.
11. Coordinating with Customs Broker and/or US Customs House as needed
12. Maintain smooth communication with customers and respond promptly to their requests.
Managing Troubleshooting and Supporting Customer Service
1. Recording and reviewing issues/problems reported by subordinate Staff.
2. Reporting issues/problems to Immediate upper managers.
3. Notifying customers of delays or other issues as needed.
4. Effectively troubleshooting issues appropriately and in a timely manner when they arise Checking for consistency in the arrival and delivery notices
5. Updating information regarding any trouble (late arrival, claims, damaged items, etc.) onto the company's database.
6. Providing general troubleshooting support to ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Managing accounts payable and receivable.
8. Contacting clients with invoices that are past due.
9. Being Responsible for collecting the due and overdue accounts of the customers.
10. Arrange pickups and deliveries outside of regular business hours, including weekends and holidays as needed, and provide timely updates to customers.
Contributing to Corporate Strategic and Budgetary Operations
1. Developing, implementing, and reviewing operational policies and procedures.
2. Ensuring the department operates within budget.
3. Managing costs and increasing revenues.
4. Generating and assessing year-end budgetary results.
5. Approving, tracking, and calculating operating costs and expenditures.
6. Coordinating the implementation of sales plans and pricing strategies.
7. Managing sales activities and reporting to immediate managers all sales activities.
