Broker Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, organized, trucking company. Your role will be Broker Assistant to support our brokerage team with daily operations and communication. This is an in-office position requiring the employee to work from our office and collaborate directly with the brokerage team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating by phone and email, working with drivers and customers, managing paperwork, and staying organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Call and email customers, shippers, carriers, and other contacts regarding available loads.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incoming emails and messages.
  • Provide drivers and carriers with necessary load, pickup, delivery, and company information.
  • Communicate updates and important information between drivers, customers, and brokers.
  • Assist with preparing, organizing, and completing paperwork and required documentation.
  • Follow up with drivers and carriers regarding load status, appointments, paperwork, and other requirements.
  • Assist brokers with daily administrative tasks and other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable making frequent phone calls and communicating through email.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced office environment.
