Job description

Job Title: Guest Services - Host/Hostess
Job Pay Range: $16.50-$19.00 per hour inclusive of hourly pay rate + gratuity*
*$16.50-$19.00 per hour based on $16.50 per hour base wage + gratuity paid per shift; historically, this position averages gratuity earnings of $2.00-$3.00 per hour. Total gratuity will fluctuate per shift.
Job Summary:
The Broadmoor is committed to creating a culture of family and community while simultaneously providing a genuine, unforgettable experience for our guests and team. This role will play a key part in continuing to uphold our reputation and providing exceptional service to our guests.
As a member of the Guest Services team, you will be coordinating front of the hotel operations, working closely with Door staff, Bell staff, Key Control, Shuttle Drivers and other Departments to ensure excellent service. This role will also be available to answer guest questions and direct them to the correct location or person to take care of their needs.

What you will be doing:
Smile and welcome guests with a positive attitude that supports the philosophy of The Broadmoor Hotel.
    • Smile and welcome guests with a positive attitude that supports the philosophy of The BroAdmoor Hotel.
    • Keep consistent records of the activities taking place at the Guest Services desk.
    • Greet Guests checking-in, in the absence of a Bell Attendant
    • Direct Bell Attendant activities, including fronts, lasts, room moves etc.
    • Assist Bell staff in handling and storing luggage.
    • Answer guest questions accurately. Possess an ample knowledge of the Hotel and surroundings.
    • Answer phones using proper phone etiquette and promptly.
    • Assist Supervisors with varied tasks associated with the Department, including bag drops/pulls, transportation and deliveries
    • Coordinates deliveries to guest's rooms or other Departments when necessary.
    • Maintain a neat area and a well-stocked Bell Desk.
    • Make dining reservations for on property restaurants and provide directions as needed.
    • Proficient utilizing of the computer to find and use guest/Hotel information.
    • Attend daily pre-shift meetings.
    • Maintain confidentiality of any guest information.
    • Greet and assist guests as a Door Host/Hostess.
    • Check out with supervisor at end of shift.
    • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
    • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
    • Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or related experience and/or training. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Ideal candidate will have previous experience with providing exceptional customer service
  • Valid Drivers License preferred
    • Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
  • The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 100 pounds.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
