Position Overview
The Rice Plant Cook Line Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring rice cooking and processing equipment to produce high-quality ingredients that meet food safety and quality standards. This role supports efficient production through process monitoring, sanitation, basic equipment maintenance, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company safety standards.
What You'll Do
  • Operate and monitor rice cooking and processing systems to meet production and quality standards.
  • Prepare product batches according to established formulas and specifications.
  • Perform in-process quality testing, including Brix, pH, temperature, and moisture.
  • Monitor and document critical process parameters and respond to process deviations.
  • Complete Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Clean-out-of-Place (COP) sanitation procedures.
  • Perform basic maintenance, preventative maintenance tasks, and minor equipment repairs.
  • Maintain accurate production records and ingredient documentation.
  • Communicate equipment, safety, and quality issues while ensuring effective shift handoffs.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with GMP and food safety requirements.
  • Support team operations and perform other duties as needed.

Requirements
What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and GMP requirements.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform base equipment maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail, recordkeeping, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Commitment to food safety, product quality, and workplace safety.

Salary Description
