Job description

Construction Project Manager - Jacksonville, Florida
RQ Construction is expanding our Project Management team in anticipation of upcoming project awards. Projects will be on active military installations in Jacksonville, Florida and the surrounding areas.
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of construction projects, from initial planning and design through final delivery. This role ensures projects are executed in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget expectations.
Local candidates are preferred; however, travel or relocation may be considered, as this is a fully on-site position. Due to the nature of the work on a military base, U.S. citizenship is required for all employees.
Founded in 1996, RQ Construction, LLC has grown from a strong presence in Southern California's commercial and government Design-Build sector into a company with both national and international reach. Headquartered in Carlsbad, California, we provide end-to-end Design-Build services and manage projects across the United States with dedicated field teams assigned to each job site. Our expertise lies in delivering fast-paced new construction projects for public and private clients, with a primary emphasis on Department of Defense (DoD) work. Our mission is "to provide our customers with the best built environment while being the first choice of all stakeholders."
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $110,000 - $170,000 annually
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) with company match

Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required; equivalent combinations of education and hands-on experience may be considered
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction project management or similar role
  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in the construction industry, including roles such as Project Engineer and Assistant Project Manager (or equivalent)
  • Prior experience within the Design-Build environment is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) required
  • Familiarity with industry software such as Primavera P3/P6, Viewpoint, BIM, or Revit is preferred
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour certifications required (training available if needed); STS certification is a plus
  • LEED Green Associate (GA) or Accredited Professional (AP/AP+) credentials preferred

Join RQ Construction and be part of a team committed to delivering high-quality, innovative construction solutions while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, gender (including gender identity and gender expression), religion (all aspects of religious beliefs, observance or practice, including religious dress or grooming practices) marital status, registered domestic partner status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition (including cancer or a record or history of cancer, and genetic characteristics), sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding or related medical condition), genetic information, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other basis or status protected by federal, state, or local law or ordinance or regulation.
All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire. Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).
