The ideal candidate is a highly autonomous QA professional who can navigate ambiguity, proactively solve problems, and take ownership of quality outcomes from discovery through release. This individual should be comfortable working across manual and automated testing, API and backend validation, accessibility testing, and technical troubleshooting. We are particularly interested in candidates who are curious about emerging AI technologies and have explored ways to incorporate AI into testing strategies and quality engineering practices.

  • Perform API, backend, and database testing using tools such as Postman and related technologies
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Delivery, and offshore QA resources throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirements reviews, and release activities to ensure quality is considered early and often
  • Contribute to test automation, AI-assisted testing initiatives, and continuous improvement of QA processes and tools
  • Clearly communicate testing progress, risks, and quality recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience testing web applications, SaaS products, or Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, Agile development practices, and the software development lifecycle
  • Experience with manual testing, test automation, API testing, and defect management
  • Proficiency with browser developer tools, debugging techniques, network logs, and troubleshooting complex issues
  • Experience with accessibility testing and cross-browser/mobile testing
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and working with databases or backend services
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity
  • Curiosity and experience leveraging AI tools to improve testing, analysis, or quality engineering workflows
  • CMS, publishing, or large-scale web platform experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • The salary range for this role is $90,000-100,000 with bonus potential.
  • Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 3 weeks paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid company holidays, Safe Harbor 401(k) with employer matching, continuing education stipend, and a 3-week paid sabbatical after your 5th anniversary.
