Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer

Briggs Auto Group is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Service Advisor / Service Writer to join our team.
Automotive experience is valuable, but it is not required. We can teach dealership systems, repair-order processes, maintenance schedules, and manufacturer procedures. What we need from you are three qualities that cannot be taught overnight:
Character. Communication. Competence.
Good Character
We are looking for someone who:
  • Does the right thing, even when no one is watching.
  • Treats customers and coworkers with honesty and respect.
  • Takes ownership of problems and follows through on commitments.
  • Can be trusted with customer relationships, vehicles, and sensitive information.
  • Brings a dependable, professional attitude to work every day.
Good Communication Skills
A successful Service Advisor must be able to:
  • Listen carefully to customer concerns.

  • Explain recommended maintenance and repairs in clear, understandable language.

  • Providing customers with timely progress updates.
  • Coordinating with technicians, parts personnel, and service management.
  • Reviewing completed repairs and invoices with customers.
  • Following up after the service visit to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Supporting departmental goals for customer satisfaction, retention, productivity, and sales.
